As spring comes, the YES Incubator is becoming more and more busy place filled with young people who started their ventures and working hardly upon achieving their dreams. We are happily announcing that we are having two new tenants in the Incubator, HD Technology (www.hd.com.mk) and KAD-ING, companies established by young IT and mechanical engineers. This means that after seven months of operations, YES Incubator managed to attract and home 9 companies with around 25 employees and half of the offices to be filled with tenants. However, more importantly is that all the companies that entered the Incubator almost double the number of employees and expanded their business activities. One of the companies, Innovation (www.innovation.com.mk) even expanded internationally and is becoming the fastest growing business in the Incubator.

For that purpose for attracting even more young entrepreneurial people and improving the services offered, YES started with the grant fund and credit line that for the moment have been used by two companies in the Incubator, EDIT Design Studio (www.editdesignstudio.com) and GlobalNet (www.global-net.com.mk). And lastly, we are announcing that as a part of our mission for stimulating the entrepreneurial spirit, YES is participating on the Entrepreneurship Day conference on the 9th of May, where along with the SECI project (www.seciptoject.org.mk) will be organized working session about the entrepreneurship, youth and the importance of ICT.

Two new tenants in the Incubator

Starting from 1st of April, two companies established by young people entered the Incubator. The first company is HD Production (www.hd.com.mk) established by young IT engineer, Dimitar Indovski, who has long year experience in IT. The company will work production of HD (high-definition) of video materials and exploring new technologies for transmitting HDTV signal via Internet with an ultimate goal HD television program. The second company is KAD-ING established by two mechanical engineers, Dragan Stojanovski and Micho Georgievski who will work design and redesign of plastic molds and 3D modeling with state-of-the-art hardware and software.


Success story

The success of the company Innovation (www.innovation.com.mk) regarding the joint project with the Dutch company Satellite Services (www.satserv.nl) that is part of the PSOM program (program of the Dutch government for cooperation with emerging markets) was listed as success story from Macedonia on the World’s Bank Network of Incubators, InfoDev (www.idisc.net/en/Article.38690.html).

The project is about software development for decoding/processing of data.


Credit line and grant fund

YES Incubator started the financial support for the tenant companies. The first companies that applied for the grant fund and credit line are EDIT Design Studio (www.editdesignstudio.com) and Global Net (www.global-net.com.mk) . YES believes that by providing these financial support services will help even more to the start-up business to overcome the most critical phase of their development and result in business success.

Vission

The YES project shall become a good practice model for entreprenurship and new firm creation in the region as an approach to developing promising new business idea among well-educated yout. Through its activities, YES will stimulate entrepreneurship and new firm creation among well-educated youth in Macedonia in order to:
- boost the development of the SME sector and
- bridge the gap between existing offers from educational institutions and the needs of the business community

Goal

The goal of YES Foundation is attracting young ICT people, training and coaching them in business skills, connecting them with the right business partners so that they can compete on the global market and make the ICT a leading industry in Macedonia.

Mission statement

The Youth Entrepreneurial Service (YES) seeks to strenghten the local innovation system in Macedonia by stimulating to practical entrepreneurship among the youth by offering complementary activities that will ease the start-up of new ventures.
